The United States has temporarily shut down its Nigeria Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos.
The US government made the announcement in a statement issued on its X handle.
According to the statement, the US Embassy in Nigeria will be closed on Thursday, January 9, 2025, to mark former US President, Jimmy Carterโs passing.
