The Kano State Police Command has successfully recovered and returned a stolen ash-colored motor vehicle to its rightful owner, Dr. Yusuf Samuel Shaho of Zaria City, Kaduna State.
This feat, achieved by the diligent Anti-Car Theft Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), unfolded on the 28th of December, 2024.
The vehicle, reportedly abandoned, was swiftly recovered following a meticulous operation by the unit.
Further investigations led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Bala Sani, a 40-year-old resident of Funtua Local Government Area, Katsina State, who is believed to be connected to the theft.
Dr. Yusuf, armed with proof of ownership, was formally reunited with his vehicle at the Police Public Relations Office in Kano.
The ceremonial handover was carried out under the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, who lauded the officersโ unwavering efforts and praised Dr. Yusufโs cooperation throughout the process.
CP Garba reaffirmed the commandโs dedication to safeguarding lives and property across Kano State, urging the public to continue supporting law enforcement by sharing valuable information that could aid in apprehending criminals and recovering stolen assets.
