Nasarawa Polytechnic expels 100 students for examination malpractices

The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, has expelled 100 students for their alleged involvement in examination malpractices during the 2023/2024 academic session.

The announcement was made by the Acting Rector, Dr. Hauwa Muhammad, during the institutionโ€™s 41st matriculation ceremony held over the weekend.

Approximately 15,000 students, newly admitted for the 2024/2025 academic session, participated in the event, which took place in Nasarawa Local Government Area.

The matriculated students were enrolled in National Diploma, ND, Higher National Diploma, HND and Part-Time programmes.

Dr. Muhammad used the opportunity to caution the new students against engaging in examination malpractices, highlighting the consequences faced by their predecessors.

โ€œLet the experience of the expelled students serve as a lesson to all. This institution has zero tolerance for any form of academic dishonesty,โ€ she stated.

She further advised students to avoid social vices such as drug abuse, indecent dressing, and cultism, while promoting peaceful coexistence on campus.
