The Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) has announced the appointment of Saifullahi Muhammed as the Zonal Commander for the North West Zone.
A native of Kano Municipal Local Government Area in Kano State, Muhammedโs appointment became effective on January 13, 2025.
The decision was approved by NFSS Commander General, Ambassador Osatimeh Joshua, and the Board of Trustees Chairman, AIG (Rtd) E. E. Amakulor.
The process adhered to Articles 5 and 6, Subsections A and B of the NFSS Constitution.
In his acceptance speech, Muhammed expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in him by the NFSS leadership.
He pledged to strengthen the agencyโs operations in the North West Zone, emphasizing collaboration with stakeholders to improve security in the region.
โIt is an honor to be entrusted with this responsibility. I am committed to improving the activities of the Nigerian Forest Security Service in the North West Zone and will collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to make Nigeria a safer and better place for all,โ Muhammed stated.
As Zonal Commander, Muhammed will focus on fostering partnerships with local communities, security agencies, and other stakeholders to bolster grassroots security initiatives.
The NFSS, under its leadership, remains committed to addressing security challenges across Nigeria by empowering leaders like Saifullahi Muhammed to drive impactful changes.
