NYSC 2024 Batch C Stream 2 Orientation Camp opens nationwide today, January 22

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has confirmed that the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 Orientation Camp will officially open today, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, across all states in Nigeria.

The announcement was made via the NYSCโ€™s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, #officialnyscng, on Tuesday.

Prospective corps members (PCMs) have been instructed to report to their respective camps on the date specified in their call-up letters, bringing along their required documents and survival packs. The NYSC also confirmed that the deployment letters for the 2023 Batch C Stream II have been released, and PCMs can now access their deployment details in preparation for the service year.

In a safety advisory, the scheme cautioned PCMs to be mindful while traveling to their designated camps, urging them not to travel at night to ensure their safety.

The NYSC also reminded PCMs of a crucial requirement for registration at the camps: they are to print and sign the addendum, which must be submitted during camp registration.

Due to logistical reasons, some PCMs initially deployed to Lagos State will undergo their orientation in Ekiti, Ondo, or Osun camps, while those deployed to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) may be redirected to Nasarawa or Kaduna camps.

โ€œSome PCMs deployed to Lagos State will have their orientation course in Ekiti, Ondo, or Osun camps. Similarly, some PCMs deployed to the FCT will have their orientation in Nasarawa or Kaduna camps,โ€ the NYSC stated.

The NYSC urged all PCMs to adhere to these instructions and prepare thoroughly for the mandatory three-week orientation program.

PCMs are encouraged to stay updated by following the official NYSC social media platforms for further announcements.

The NYSC, established in 1973, aims to promote national unity, integration, and development. The one-year mandatory service includes a three-week orientation camp, a primary assignment phase, and a community development service period.
