Pep Guardiola, Cristina Serra Announce Separation After 30 Years Together

Manchester City manager Josep ‘Pep’ Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have reportedly separated after three decades together.

According to Sport, a Barcelona-based newspaper, the couple made the decision to part ways in December 2024, but chose to keep the news private, asking family and friends to maintain discretion.

Serra, an entrepreneur, had relocated to Barcelona in 2019 with one of their children to focus on her fashion company.

For the past five years, she had been commuting between Spain and Manchester to spend time with her family before they ultimately agreed to separate.

Despite their split, sources close to the couple have revealed that their relationship remains “cordial, stable, and friendly.”

Guardiola, 53, and Serra, 50, first met in 1994 when Guardiola was 23 and Serra was 20. The two began dating shortly after their meeting.

However, they did not marry until May 19, 2014, 20 years later. The couple has three children together: Maria, Marius, and Valentina.

Guardiola, a former football player with 466 career appearances, has since established himself as one of the most successful and renowned managers in football.

He has had successful managerial stints in Spain, Germany, and England, winning numerous trophies during his illustrious career.

The couple’s separation marks the end of a long and public relationship that has spanned several decades, but their continued amicable relationship suggests a mutual respect remains.
