The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has confirmed the arrest of a teacher after a video surfaced online, showing the teacher allegedly abusing a three-year-old boy at a school in Ikorodu.
The video, shared by a user named Oyindamola on X (formerly Twitter), shows a female teacher slapping the childโs face.
The boy, Abayomi Micheal, is seen being slapped by the teacher, who was identified as Stella Nwadigo at Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu.
The video, which caused alarm, was shared with a message warning about the mistreatment of the child.
The Lagos DSVA quickly responded to the incident, thanking the public for bringing the video to their attention.
The agency confirmed that the teacher had been arrested by the Owutu FSU and that an investigation was underway.
The DSVA also reminded the public of the Lagos governmentโs commitment to protecting children, emphasizing that schools should be safe places for kids. โSchools must be safe and caring environments for all children.
