President Bola Tinubu has accepted an invitation from UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025).
Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday, January 11, for the week-long summit, which is scheduled to run from January 12 to 18.
The summit, themed ‘The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,’ aims to bring together global leaders to accelerate sustainable development and advance socioeconomic progress.
Now in its 15th year, ADSW has become an important platform for fostering cooperation between governments, businesses, and civil society leaders in addressing global challenges.
Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga said President Tinubu will “stress his administration’s reforms, including those related to energy sufficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development” at the summit.
“The Nigerian leader and his entourage will also meet with the emirate’s leadership to discuss issues of interest affecting the two nations,” he added.
Accompanying President Tinubu on the trip is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, along with other senior government officials.
President Tinubu is scheduled to return on Thursday, January 16.
