Adebutu mourns Ogun monarch

The Chief Executive Officer, Premier Lotto Limited, Chief Kessington Adebutu, has commiserated with the family of the traditional ruler of Iperu-Akesan, Ogun State, His Royal Highness, Oba Idowu Basibo, who passed away on Thursday.

Adebutu, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, the owner of online sports betting, also condoled with the Iperu-Akesan Land in Council, the ruling houses, and the entire people of the town over the demise of the Alaperu.

This was contained in a press statement titled ‘Letter of Commiseration’ obtained by Saturday PUNCH on Friday.

“What a stark reality of our evanescent world where we are all subject to the law of mutability. Moreso, one has to pay condolences on someone young enough for one to father,” the statement partly read.

In his tribute, the renowned industrialist stated that Basibo gave his all to advance the cause of the indigenes of Iperu, showcasing a life well lived.

Adebutu, who is the Baba Oba of Iperu-Akesan, urged the residents of the town to thank God for the life of the deceased monarch stating that it “was a testament to strength of character, compassion, gait, and tireless service to Fatherland.”

He prayed the Almighty to receive the soul of the departed king and grant him eternal rest.
