Buhari condoles Aso Villa Imam on mother’s death

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to the Chief Imam of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Sheikh Abdulwahid Sulaiman, on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Fatima Abubakar Sulaiman.

Hajiya Fatima, who passed away at the age of 101, was laid to rest in Kaduna on Monday.

In his tribute, Buhari described her as “a simple and extraordinary person whose life of sacrifice and commitment to family shaped the character and personality of the State House Imam.”

This message was conveyed in a statement issued by Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Monday.

Reflecting on Sheikh Sulaiman’s qualities, Buhari commended him as “neat and punctual,” attributing these virtues to the strong upbringing and values instilled by his late mother.

The former president also extended prayers for the deceased, saying, “May Allah grant her soul eternal rest and give the Imam and his family the strength and fortitude to bear this loss.”
