Emir of Dutse Appointed Chancellor of Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila
The Emir of Dutse, Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sunusi, has been appointed as the Chancellor of Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila.
The Founder of the university, Abdulrahman Suleiman Kawu Sumaila, announced the appointment while presenting the letter to the Emir at his palace on Thursday. He stated that the monarch was selected based on merit and his outstanding leadership qualities.
In his acceptance speech, the Emir of Dutse expressed gratitude for the appointment and pledged to use his experience to contribute to the growth and development of the institution.
Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sunusi, born in 1979, holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Monash University, Malaysia. He has an extensive professional background, having served as Head of Business Development at Bilyak Consulting (2007–2011) and as Head of the Northern Region at SMD Consulting (2011–2016). He is currently the Managing Director of HMS Energy Limited.
