Emotional moments as Ihonvbere turns 60

Last weekend, the city of Abuja was awash with celebrations as former secretary to the Edo State Government, Grace Ihonvbere, turned 60. Ihonvbere did not leave any stone unturned as she boldly celebrated this significant milestone in style.
The event drew notable personalities and dignitaries, all visibly excited to join in the festivities. The birthday celebration was filled with fun activities and performances that created memorable highlights.
One of the standout moments was the array of creative performances showcased throughout the event. A group of dancers clad in silver costumes and white fringe hats set the tone with their graceful and captivating movements. Additionally, a troupe of young ballerinas displayed their talents, which andded a touch of elegance to the occasion.
Another highlight was when popular singer, Flavour N’abania, escorted the birthday girl on stage to serenade her and her guests.
Beyond the artistic displays, the event was marked by heartfelt moments. One emotional speech came from Ihonvbere’s daughter, who was moved to tears while recounting cherished memories shared with her mother. “Many people do not know that my mum is actually not my mum but my auntie though she is my mother. Thank you for teaching me my worth. Thank you for teaching us that even as a woman, there is nothing we cannot do. Thank you for all you have done and all you are still doing,” she stated.
The celebration also featured a lively dance-off between former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole; and Nollywood star, Chinedu Ikedieze, fondly known as Aki. The ex-governor showcased his agility as he bent low to dance alongside the actor.
Ihonvbere displayed exceptional style throughout the event, donning a variety of outfits in black, white, gold, and pink. She also wore a stunning sequin gold dress while cutting her birthday cake, accompanied by her husband at her side.
Amongst the notable personalities in attendance at the birthday party included the First Lady of Kwara State, Olufolake Abdulrazaq; and a former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi and his wife, Bisi.
