Friends and family are grieving the loss of Safe Na’andak Pankyes, a Nigerian woman from Plateau State.

She married Pankyes Galak on March 30, 2024.

After her untimely death, a post she wrote about her own passing was shared online, touching many on social media.

In a popular post shared five months before her passing, she shared her reflections on life, death, and how people tend to show love and support only after someone is gone.

In a sincere message, Safe Pankyes expressed that there would be a time when his images would take over social media, with tributes labeled “RIP.”

She felt sad that those she had touched, both directly and indirectly, would cry genuine and fake tears, while she would be left in darkness alone.

She also shared her frustration with people who could have helped her when she was alive but chose not to. Later, those same people would gather to donate money for her funeral.

Encouraging her friends and followers to celebrate her while she was still alive, Safe emphasized the importance of showing love and appreciation to people before it’s too late.

The emotional post reads, “A Day will come my Pictures will fly all over Social Media tagged RIP00. Both those I’ve impacted directly or indirectly will shade natural and artificial tears. Only myself will be buried down the dark shallow breathless. People who had the opportunity to help impact me positively and show love to me but didn’t do will come out making contributions to plan a Burial ceremony for me. Please, Celebrate me now that I’m alive because when I go down I wouldn’t be here to see all that you will do when I die. Thank you once again.”

Family and friends took to Facebook on Sunday, February 23, 2025, to announce her death.
