Gombe NSCDC, DSS partner on intelligence sharing

The courtesy visit by the State Director of Security, Department of State Security Service, Haruna Koko, to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Gombe State Command has been hailed as a timely and strategic move.

Arewa PUNCH reports that the visit aimed to bolster the existing partnership between the two organisations and also focused on enhanced collaboration, intelligence sharing, and cooperation.

Koko, during the visit, said, “No single organisation can achieve its goals alone. Working together is crucial to preventing threats and maintaining peace in the state.”

CC Gyama Gyawiya, the State Commandant of the NSCDC who received Koko during the visit, assured him of the NSCDC’s commitment to sharing vital information. “We are committed to sharing information to prevent threats and maintain peace in the state,” Gyawiya stated.

The State Director of Security also pledged “support for capacity building initiatives within the NSCDC,” stressing that,  “the timely and strategic meeting marks a significant step towards fostering a stronger, more collaborative relationship between the two organisations.”
