Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone’ Makes 50K Sales, Receives Gold Certification In France

Nigerian Afrobeats artist Omah Lay, whose real name is Stanley Didia, has achieved a major milestone. His first album, Boy Alone, has received a Gold certification in France.

Released in 2022, the album is gaining international recognition and strengthening the artist’s presence worldwide.

This certification is given by the National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) to albums that reach more than 50,000 sales in the country.

SNEP considers physical and digital sales, as well as streaming. An album can achieve Gold status with 10 million streams.

Omah Lay became well-known for popular songs like Soso, Attention, and Understand.

Before his album Boy Alone came out, he gained popularity with two EPs, Get Layd and What Have We Done.

The 14-track project by Boy Alone is still doing well, showing impressive streaming figures and receiving praise.

Fans are looking forward to his next album, Clarity of Mind, which is expected to come out in late 2025.
