Zaria Business Mogul Alba Bello Dies at 77

A Zaria-based businessman, Alhaji Bala Abdulwahab Bello, known as Alba Bello, has passed away at the age of 77. 

Alba Bello, the head of Alba-Bello Trading Company, died on Monday at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Shika, Zaria, Kaduna State, after a brief illness.

A family source, who confirmed his death to Kano Times on the condition of anonymity, described him as “a generous and hardworking man who contributed immensely to the commercial growth of Zaria.”

“He was a pillar in the business community, always ready to support young entrepreneurs and give back to society. His passing is a great loss not just to his family but to all who knew him,” the source added.

He is survived by four wives, many children, and grandchildren.

His funeral prayer will take place on Tuesday at his residence in Tudun Jukun Quarters, Zaria, Kaduna State, in accordance with Islamic rites.
