BUK Announces Temporary Closure of Old Campus Main Gate

Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has announced the temporary closure of its Old Campus main gate for remodeling, effective March 13, 2025.
The decision is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and improve the aesthetic appeal of its campuses.
In a statement issued by the university’s Public Affairs Directorate, Deputy Registrar Lamara Garba urged staff, students, and visitors to use an alternative gate near the Power House while the remodeling work is underway.
“To facilitate movement in and out of the campus, an alternative gate near the Power House has been designated for use by all members of the university community and visitors,” Garba stated.
The university apologized for any inconvenience the closure might cause, assuring stakeholders that efforts are underway to complete the work as soon as possible.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve university facilities,” the statement added.
