Renowned entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has strongly criticized the National Assembly and Nigeria’s political class amid the ongoing controversy involving Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Expressing his outrage on Instagram, Charly Boy condemned the state of leadership in Nigeria, describing it as riddled with corruption, deceit, and unchecked impunity.
His critique extended beyond lawmakers, as he also accused Supreme Court judges and law enforcement agencies of perpetuating a flawed system.
According to him, the National Assembly is nothing more than a gathering of corrupt individuals, including drug traffickers and sexual predators—people he claims lack values, integrity, and any real commitment to serving the public.
He wrote, “From the Presidency, the Supreme court justices, the Law enforcement agencies to the house of rep members and Horny Senators, my people, Nigeria don scarter scarter. Reminds me of my song “1990”

“We can all see what’s playing out with the Senate Presidents sex scandal, an act that has followed him around as a politician. Now, we are witnessing how victims are punished and the guilty flexing all over the place. Nonsense.
“My people, globally na for Nigeria wey real criminals are in power. Congregation of crooks, drug peddlers and sex predators are in charge of Nigeria. Dia fathers.”
