As the Continental People’s Choice Awards approaches, notable nominees have been announced, including Kenya’s Senate Speaker Amason Kingi Jeffah, Egypt’s House of Representatives Speaker Hanafy Ali El Gebaly, Nigeria’s House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, and other distinguished African legislators.

The 2025 awards, organized by the Africa International Chambers (AIC) and Souq Nexus, with support from Integrated Management Resources (IMR), celebrate excellence in legislative performance and transformational leadership.

Nominees were selected by a Joint Award Screening Committee for their commitment to democracy, policy innovation, and effective constituency representation.

Prominent nominees include leaders from Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, and Ghana. In a March 3, 2025 letter, Prof. Raju Chandrasekhar, Chairman of the Screening Committee, invited nominees to the ceremony on June 6, 2025, in Dubai.

The event will gather policymakers, business leaders, and global dignitaries to honor legislative achievements and foster dialogue on governance and development.

More than an award, the initiative symbolizes global prestige and leadership, enhancing recipients’ reputations on national and international stages. Held in a luxury setting, the ceremony will spotlight Africa’s most impactful lawmakers, cementing their legacies as pioneers of transformative governance.

The 2025 Continental People’s Choice Awards aims to be a historic moment in Africa’s legislative narrative, elevating honorees into the ranks of globally recognized leadership.
