DSP Barau to Ex-SSG Baffa Bichi, Diggol: Let’s Work Together for Kano’s Progress

The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, met with Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi and Muhammad Gambo Diggol, the former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Commissioner of Transport, respectively, following their recent dismissal by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The meeting, held at Senator Barau’s residence in Abuja, included other stakeholders and focused on issues related to Kano State and Nigeria.

Speaking after the meeting, Senator Barau described the engagement as productive.

“Today, I had a fruitful meeting with the former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the former Commissioner for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Muhammad Diggol, and other stakeholders of our dear state at my residence in Abuja,” Senator Barau stated.

He emphasized the importance of Kano State’s progress and reiterated his commitment to working with relevant stakeholders.

“We had fruitful discussions with them on the development of our dear state and the country. The development of our state and the country is always at the top of our agenda,” he added.

The Deputy Senate President also called for unity among political stakeholders and urged collective efforts to improve governance.

“We will continue to collaborate with other stakeholders to advance our state and nation. Let’s do it together to better the lots of our people,” he added.

The meeting follows the suspension of Bichi and Diggol by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in October last year over allegations of disrespecting the party and its leadership.
