Emir of Kano asks new village heads to uphold truth

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Thursday urged the newly appointed village heads (Dagatai) in the Tarauni Local Government Area to uphold truth and integrity in their leadership so as to foster peace and development in their communities.
The first class monarch made the call during his address shortly after the appointment of the new Dagacin Unguwar Gano, Alhaji Mansur Abdullahi, and the new Dagacin Darmanawa, Umar Bello (Dalladi Mai Unguwa).
According to Adamu Hotoro, the information officer of Tarauni Local Government, Sanusi emphasised the importance of fairness and justice in their leadership, urging them to ensure security in their domains by reporting any suspicious individuals.
He reminded them that leadership is a responsibility and advised them to work diligently for the progress of their communities, be approachable to their people, collaborate with elders, and adhere to the laws of the Kano Emirate and the state.
The Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Alh. Ahmed Sekure, expressed his appreciation to Emir Sanusi and the District Head of Darmanawa, Alhaji Mujitafa Abubakar, for overseeing the appointment of the new village heads.
