FRSC Confirms Two Dead in Kano Airport Road Accident
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano Sector Command has confirmed the death of two people in a fatal road accident along Airport Road, near Eldorado Cinema Junction in Kano metropolis.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Sector Public Education Officer, Abdullahi Labaran, reported that the crash occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. on March 26, 2025.
“We regret to report a fatal road traffic crash that occurred today, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 0815 hours along Airport Road, Eldorado Cinema Junction.
“The crash, caused by dangerous driving, involved a commercial DAF truck and a private Jincheng motorcycle. Out of the six people involved (all male), two lost their lives, while one sustained serious injuries,” the statement read.
The injured victim was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
Labaran added that the vehicles and recovered items had been handed over to the Gwagwarwa Police Division for further investigation.
The FRSC extended its condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a swift recovery. It also urged motorists to adhere to traffic regulations to prevent future road crashes.
