Kano Edo Community Decries Uromi Killings, Seeks Justice

The Edo Community Association in Kano has condemned the recent mob attack in Uromi, Edo State, where a group of hunters traveling through the area were attacked and killed.
In a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Philip Tomoh, the association called on security agencies to ensure justice is served.
“We stand on the side of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to condemn the mob attack by some hoodlums in Uromi, Edo State, on the 27th of March, 2025,” the statement read.
The association urged a thorough investigation to bring those responsible to justice. “The Edo Community Association in Kano strongly advises the security apparatus to properly investigate and bring the culprits to book,” it added.
While mourning the loss, the association also offered prayers for peace. “We pray at this period of Holy Ramadan that the Almighty Allah will accept our prayers and that peace will reign in Nigeria,” the statement added.
