  • Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, also known as Mr Macaroni, has pledged to disregard Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during their upcoming meeting.
  • Mr. Macaroni, known for his history of snubbing Lagos state governor Sanwo-Olu, was caught on camera snubbing him at a public event in 2023.

Prominent comedian and activist, Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, known as Mr. Macaroni, has declared his intention to disregard Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during their forthcoming encounter.

It is noteworthy that Mr. Macaroni previously overlooked Governor Sanwo-Olu at a public function in 2023, demonstrating a pattern of avoiding the governor, which was captured by cameras.

On one occasion, he faced pressure to greet the governor, despite his evident reluctance to do so.

Mr. Macaroni has now made it clear on X that he will not be compelled to acknowledge or engage with Governor Sanwo-Olu in the future.

He stated that when he next encounters the governor, he will still refrain from greeting him.

His words read …

“This is the last time I will address this matter.

It is not worth my peace of mind.

Since you people won’t stop attacking me because I didn’t greet Governor Sanwoolu, next time I see him, I still won’t greet him. And this time, even if he calls me I won’t answer.

You people will cry today, tomorrow and forever!”

In other news, Nigerian skit creator and musician, Oluwadolarz, has addressed the backlash he received from internet users regarding a contentious music video he produced that focused on Muslim fasting.

The comedian recently unveiled a music video in which he mimicked Muslim prayers and made references to fasting during the sacred month of Ramadan.

The video’s content, which aimed to illustrate the challenges and temptations associated with fasting, was met with disapproval from some members of the Muslim community, who deemed his representation of their religious practices as disrespectful.

Consequently, a wave of criticism emerged, with numerous Muslims voicing their concerns over what they viewed as an insensitive depiction of their faith. Many took to social media to express their discontent, urging him to maintain respect for religious sensitivities in his work.

In light of the criticism, Oluwadolarz responded to the situation, asserting that many of his detractors do not possess a comprehensive understanding of their religion and merely adhere to its tenets without deeper reflection.

He conveyed his thoughts through a post on his social media account, stating:

“Some Muslims are criticizing me because of the post I made.

It’s unfortunate, but it seems that many Muslims don‘t truly understand their religion; they just follow the rules blindly.”
