New Katsina CP assumes duty 

The new Katsina State Police Commissioner, CP Bello Shehu, on Friday assumed duty as the 26th commissioner.

The development followed his recent posting and deployment by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

Shehu, who hails from Dukku LGA, Gombe State, was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) on June 10th, 1994.

He is a holder of BSc Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, and MSc in Security and Strategic Studies from Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna State.

Shehu is a member of Course 32, National Defence College, Abuja.

The new Commissioner of Police sought support from all and sundry in the state in the course of the discharge of his duties.

He further emphasised his commitment towards ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Katsina State and pledged to work in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in the state to ensure the reduction of crime to the barest minimum in the state.
