A Nigerian woman has shared her unexpected legal ordeal after being sued by her US-based boyfriend for posting another man on TikTok.
In a TikTok video, she recounted how their relationship began and the circumstances that led to the lawsuit.
According to her, their connection started on TikTok, where the man initially supported her by frequently sending gifts. Over time, their bond grew stronger, prompting him to ask about her relationship status.
She revealed that she was single but hesitant about a long-distance relationship. However, he reassured her that the distance wouldn’t be an issue, promising to either bring her to the US or visit Nigeria.
Their relationship progressed as he continued to send her financial support, including $850 for personal expenses and ₦1 million after she mentioned wanting a specific hairstyle.
However, communication between them suddenly stopped—he ignored her calls and messages for months. Believing the relationship was over, she moved on and found love with someone in Nigeria.
After posting her new partner on TikTok, the US-based man resurfaced, accusing her of infidelity. She explained that he had cut off communication, but he then dropped a shocking revelation—his wife had discovered their affair. She had been unaware that he was married.
Now, she faces a lawsuit over the situation, leaving her stunned by the unexpected turn of events.
In part, her statement read:
“I met a guy on TikTok; he started as my gifter, always sending me gifts. One day, he asked if I was in a relationship, and I said no. He then showed interest, but I told him I don’t like long-distance relationships because he was in the US and I was in Nigeria.”
“He assured me it wouldn’t be a problem, saying he could fly me over or visit Nigeria. That’s how we started dating, calling and texting each other frequently.”
“The first time he sent me money, it was $850, and I asked why. He said it was for my upkeep.”
“Later, when I mentioned needing a hairstyle, he sent me ₦1 million. Then suddenly, he stopped texting. If I called, he wouldn’t pick up, and he ignored my messages. So, I stopped reaching out.”
“Eventually, I found love here in Nigeria and started dating someone new. I posted my boyfriend on TikTok, and out of nowhere, my ex messaged me, saying I had moved on too quickly.”
“I reminded him that he had ignored me for months. That’s when he admitted his wife had found out about us. I was shocked because he never told me he was married.”
The lady revealed that her ex-boyfriend later took legal action against her over the situation.
Her caption read: “My ex-boyfriend sued me to court because I posted another man.”
