Olawoyin scores again in Rizespor win

Nigerian midfielder Ibrahim Olawoyin was on target for Rizespor again in their 3-1 win against Alanyaspor on Sunday, scoring the last goal as the club grabbed their 10th win of the season and moved to the eight spot in the table, NewsNGR Sports Extra reports.

Olawoyin was in the right position to finish with aplomb in the closing stages of the game and take the game beyond their visitors after being set up by Berkay Ozcan.

It was the midfielder’s fourth goal involvement in his last five games across all competitions for the club.

He now has three league goals plus five assists this season.

Olawoyin got a yellow card in what was a tight first half that failed to produce any goal for both sides.

After the break, Rizespor took the lead through Rachid Ghezzal in the 46th minute.

Alanyaspor were awarded a penalty and Andraz Sporar stepped up to convert in the 65th minute.

Rizespor would go in front through Ali Sowe with their second of the game in the 71st minute before Olawoyin emerged as the hero for Rizespor with their third of the game in the 85th minute to seal the result.

The former Rangers International player came off for Mithat Pala in additional time as Rizespor held on for all three points.
