Oyo APC pledges support for Tinubu’s agenda, hails Abas’ appointment
The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has reaffirmed its commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
It also lauded the appointment of its state chairman, Olayide Abas, as Board Chairman of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Kaduna.
In a statement on Monday, the party’s publicity secretary, Olawale Sadare, described Abas’ appointment as a testament to Tinubu’s strategy of working with capable individuals to achieve national development.
The party urged Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration, cautioning against distractions that could hinder the country’s progress.
The statement read, “There is no gainsaying the fact that President Tinubu was prepared for the task of driving the ship of the country to the desired Promised Land as he hit the ground running.
“He has taken many bold steps aimed at addressing the nation’s age-long socio-economic and political challenges while he keeps working harder to ensure the full manifestation of results expected from all the reforms and efficacious policies which his government has introduced so far.
“As a matter of fact, President Tinubu deserves the support and cooperation of all Nigerians and friends of Nigeria at this critical moment, and it is on this note that we urge every citizen of the country to replace undue sentiments, politics of bitterness and personal vendetta in their minds with a great sense of patriotism and humanity by joining hands with the president to move the country forward.”
Oyo APC expressed confidence in Abas’ ability to excel in his new role and called for more federal appointments from the state, describing it as a hub of talent and patriotism.
The statement added, “With the recent appointment of our state chairman and other eminent patriots into key positions at the federal level, we are further convinced that President Tinubu would not leave any stone unturned to facilitate efficiency and productivity in all the sectors of the nation’s economy.
“Discerning minds can now appreciate the fact that President Tinubu’s leadership is premised on strategic thinking, developmental strides and a commitment to democracy.
“His inclusive approach to governance and willingness to partner with all stakeholders for national development reflect his zeal for a greater and better Nigeria in no time.”
