Parallex MD, Femi Bakre, gets surprise birthday bash

The Managing Director of Parallex Bank, Femi Bakre, was taken by surprise as colleagues, family, friends and well-wishers gathered at the bank’s Victoria Island headquarters to celebrate his 62nd birthday in style.

Bakre who was filled with so much joy, stepped in the party hall with smiles and steeze, donning his black suit. In his keynote address, he appreciated his family, and colleagues for the surprise party, revealing that he had not been surprised before.

“I appreciate this gesture, thank you all, I am grateful. I have never had a birthday surprise before, you all know my story. From a village hawker to where we are today, but to God be the glory. I am grateful to God”, he said.

One of the highlights of the party was the surprise presence of his actor son, Tobi Bakre, his wife and their two kids, who came bearing gifts. The celebrant was all smiles as he received his package from his grandson. Executive members of the bank took turns sharing heartfelt tributes, highlighting the celebrant’s dedication to excellence and mentorship. “With Mayor, I have learned to do things right and on time,” one staff member stated, praising Bakre’s leadership.

Another member added, “Your leadership isn’t just about guiding; it’s about inspiring limitless possibilities and setting a standard of excellence.  Today, we celebrate your vision, generosity, and unwavering drive to make an impact.”

Adding to the excitement, Otunba Sesan Rufai, Chairman of GoldMyneTV, made a surprise appearance to honour Bakre, commending his contributions to the banking sector. To add flavour to the party, the celebrator also cut a beautifully designed two-step blue and gold cake while everyone sang with smiles.

The evening was a perfect blend of inspiration, appreciation, and celebration, honouring a leader who continues to shape the future of banking.
