Police pledges enhanced security in Ogun

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Ogunlowo, has stated that he will continue to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the security of lives and property in the state.
Ogunlowo stated that community engagement was pivotal to effective policing and ensuring the safety of the citizens.
The CP made the remarks at a reception hosted by the Golden Grand Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee National, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, according to a statement obtained by Saturday PUNCH.
“Community engagement is the cornerstone of effective policing. My administration will prioritise collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of lives and property across Ogun State,” Ogunlowo said.
In his remarks, Emmanuelking pledged his support for law enforcement in the state, stressing that security was a collective responsibility and should not be left solely to security operatives.
“Security is not solely the responsibility of law enforcement agencies; it is a collective duty. We must all work together to combat crime, especially emerging threats that endanger our communities,” Emmanuelking said.
