Security Agencies Urged to Investigate Kano Deputy Governor Over Remarks on APC Chair’s Wife

The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has come under fire for remarks made about Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the wife of former Governor and current APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The comments, widely criticized as inappropriate and unbecoming of a high-ranking official, have sparked calls for a public apology and an investigation.

Leading the condemnation, Hon. Sani Bala Tsanyawa, a member representing the Tsanyawa/Ghari Federal Constituency, urged the deputy governor to retract his statement, emphasizing the need for respect and decorum in public office.

“As a senior government official, the deputy governor should uphold the highest standards of decency and respect for all individuals, regardless of their affiliations,” Tsanyawa said.

He further stressed that the remarks not only affected Hafsat Ganduje but also caused distress to her family and loved ones.

Calling on security agencies to take appropriate action, Tsanyawa emphasized the need for public officials to set positive examples through their words and actions.

“This should serve as a reminder that those in leadership positions must treat others with dignity and respect,” he added.
