High Chief Emmanuel O. Uduaghan, the traditional leader and respected figure from the Niger Delta, has broken his silence on the ongoing dispute between his wife, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, in a statement via his X account on Saturday.
Initially, Chief Uduaghan had refrained from commenting on the matter but, due to recent developments, he has now issued a statement in defense of his wife and to address the growing concerns surrounding the allegations against Senator Akpabio.
In his statement, Uduaghan emphasized that his wife, Senator Natasha, was duly elected by her people due to their unwavering love, respect, and confidence in her. He expressed that she is deeply committed to delivering quality representation to her district and the nation, highlighting her loyalty, truthfulness, and devotion to her family and values.
While acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, Uduaghan revealed that, after being informed by his wife about the allegations involving Senator Akpabio, he approached the matter with maturity and responsibility. As a traditional leader, he personally met with the Senate President to urge him to extend the respect and courtesy that his wife deserved. However, despite their prior agreement, Uduaghan disclosed that his wife continues to experience harassment from the Senate President.
