VIDEO: Obasanjo visits soilless farm lab, uproots vegetables

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo recently visited the Soilless Farm Lab, an innovative agricultural hub renowned for pioneering cutting-edge, soil-free farming techniques.
In a video shared on Friday by a farmer, Samson Ogbole, via Facebook, Obasanjo who was accompanied by traditional royalties, including the Olota of Ota and other dignitaries, was seen uprooting vegetables, a testament to his appreciation for modern, sustainable farming.
The Soilless Farm Lab, led by Ogbole has established itself as a trailblazer in sustainable agriculture.
By utilising advanced horticultural methods, the farm cultivates a wide range of export-ready vegetables, including Ugu (pumpkin leaves), Shoko, Tete (green amaranth), Ewedu (jute leaves), Bitterleaf, and fiery Habanero peppers. Each crop is meticulously grown to meet international standards—fresh, healthy, and certified for export.
