Akpabio, Bello Planned My Assassination, Senator Natasha Alleges 

Suspended Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello of plotting to assassinate her.  

Speaking during her homecoming on Tuesday, the embattled lawmaker addressed a cheering crowd of supporters, revealing that she had reported the alleged plot to the Nigeria Police Force.

Akpoti-Uduaghan claimed that Akpabio initiated her recall process after allegedly promising financial support to the former governor.

“On March 13, at 10:00 p.m., two days after Akpabio called Governor Ododo to begin my recall process, he was told it would be impossible because the people are with me. But Akpabio was not satisfied, so he contacted Yahaya Bello. I was informed of everything,” she alleged.

She further claimed that the plan had two objectives—her recall from the Senate and her assassination.

“They told Yahaya Bello to commence my recall and assured him of funding. The second part was even more sinister—he was asked to ensure that I was killed. I didn’t make this public initially, but I have written to the Inspector General of Police,” she stated.

According to Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senate President allegedly instructed that if the assassination were to take place, it should not happen in Abuja but in Kogi, to make it appear as though the people were responsible.
