Kawu Sumaila, Rurum, Madaki in Defection Talks with APC National Chairman 

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has held a closed-door meeting with Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila and House of Representatives members Kabiru Alhassan Rurum and Aliyu Sani Madaki — all currently members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Aminu Dahiru, Senior Special Assistant to the APC National Chairman on Visual Communication & Events, confirmed the meeting in a post shared on his verified social media handle on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the meeting is part of ongoing discussions ahead of the politicians’ planned defection from the NNPP to the APC in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
