Liz Anjorin slams Tope Alabi for snubbing her birthday performance

Popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi, has allegedly refused to perform at the birthday of Nigerian actress, Liz Anjorin.

PUNCH Online gathered that the singer declined to come down from her car upon discovering that the celebrant was Anjorin.

It was also learned that fans of Anjorin secured the services of Alabi in the diaspora.

Although the gospel singer was engaged for the birthday party, she was unaware of the identity of the celebrant until she arrived at the venue.

However, the singer was said to have refused to leave her car, stating that she could not perform for Anjorin due to personal reasons.

Alabi was said to have gone back home and later refunded the money.

Reacting to the development in a video on Saturday, Anjorin berated Alabi for refusing to perform at her surprise birthday party, saying that she cannot be bullied.

The actress also released payment receipt of the money her fans paid to the gospel singer.

She said, “Aunty Tope, my fans paid you N4million, and I have the evidence with me. Even if you were paid 500k, were you not an actress? In acting, we were taught that if you are to kiss your enemy on a movie set, you must do it.

“You are a brand that your husband built with an empty stomach.”

The actress also clarified that she had no prior knowledge of her fans’ plans to invite the gospel artist.

She said, “I’m a Muslim, and I didn’t expect my fans to invite a gospel singer to my birthday. They should have invited an Islamic singer.”
