Sexual purity is the best bet for a single mother!

Warm greetings madam,

I am a supporter of the morality movement that you’re championing and I can tell you that you’re gaining more grounds than you think. I just saw your Saturday Punch publication on Facebook and the comments underneath led me to send this message.

After my divorce some years ago, I got into the dating scene only to see that many men worship sex, rather than God. They would even say that a woman who is no longer a virgin has no right to demand for sex after marriage, she must present herself to be “sampled”. Some might not say it outright but their attitude would show it. I simply just packed dating away for over nine years that I have been celibate. I don’t see any Christian; many of them go to church but live immoral lives. They demand for sex as if it’s their right.

I have met monarchs who just want to soil my soul knowing that I am a prophet. They entice me with money and marriage but want sex first. I remind them that I’m a prophet, so they shouldn’t expect me to fornicate. They say it doesn’t matter. Who wants a man who thinks God does not matter because of his sexual urge. I have really been enjoying your writings; you are doing a good Job. May the Almighty continue to enrich you with strength; amen!

Dear mama,

“I am a single mother of two children in my 30s, and I’ve been your ardent follower on Facebook for years. As much as I consider you my role model—the kind of woman I aspire to be in terms of accomplishments, grace, and beauty, as well as the way God is using you to impact many lives—I must admit that I haven’t been following your teachings on sexual purity.

My marriage failed nine years ago, and over time, it has been difficult to get my former husband to take care of his children. Left with no other option, I found myself dating married men. I’m crying as I write this because, although I didn’t marry as a virgin, I never followed married men in my single years, nor was I promiscuous.

I am truly exhausted from being used by one man after another, with each taking advantage of my vulnerability and sleeping with me simply because I have needs. However, I’m also afraid that the little comfort and financial support I receive from my current relationship will end if I walk away.

Please counsel me, ma. I don’t feel good about this way of life at all!”

Dear T and other ladies in her shoes,

I know life can sometimes box a person into an unfavourable corner. However, if, as a single mother—or in any situation—you have the heart to sleep with a married man, especially for favors, money, etc., there’s a high likelihood that you were never truly decent. Please forgive me if I sound harsh, but the truth must be told.

There are single mothers who once faced the toughest of situations but refused to follow the ways of the world. They endured hardship and pain, yet today, they and their children are enjoying a life that even many with stable marriages and supportive parents cannot dream of—without sleeping with any man! And I tell you, this is because God is committed to those who are committed to Him.

Who says you can’t receive help unless you sleep with a man? How, on God’s earth, can you subject yourself to being used and discarded—cherished only in secrecy by a man who will rush back home to his wife, flaunt his beautiful family on social media, and shower praises on his wife while ensuring no one ever knows about you?

Do you even realise that the man you’re sleeping with could be thriving off your virtues to enrich himself and his family while giving you mere peanuts in return? Have you considered that he might be siphoning the spiritual energy and potential that God has deposited in you to make you a billionaire in the future, despite your present struggles? You may not believe these things, but I am telling you facts.

Or do you think you can never live your dream life or become even greater than the woman you admire and wish to be like? You had better “allow your head to be correct” so that you don’t give away what you should be using to secure a better future for your children!

Stay away from these men!

Stay sexually pure, stay sexually pure, stay sexually pure!

Pursue your destiny and watch God turn you into a wonderful wonder!
