Vanguard award proves Uzodimma’s infrastructure success in Imo – Aide

The Special Adviser to the governor of Imo state on Youth Affairs, Eric Uwakwe, has said that Governor Hope Uzodimma deserves the Governor of the Year, Infrastructure award bestowed on him by the Vanguard newspapers as he has tremendously improved governance structures in the state.
Uwakwe, in a statement in Owerri, the state on Friday, argued that the Vanguard Infrastructure Governor of the Year award is enough indication that Uzodimma had done well.
He said that while Uzodimma was prioritising other organs of governance, he had invested heavily in the infrastructure development of the state.
He said, “From massive road infrastructural projects, to the rebuilding of critical institutions, to far-reaching reforms in public service delivery, the governor has redefined what leadership means in contemporary Nigeria.
“His administration’s efforts under the 3R mantra have repositioned Imo State as a prime destination for investors, entrepreneurs, and businesses seeking conducive environment to thrive.
“This impressive track record has not gone unnoticed. In recognition of his groundbreaking strides in infrastructural development, Governor Uzodimma bagged the “Infrastructure Governor of the Year 2024” award, conferred by the Vanguard Newspapers. This accolade, coming from one of Nigeria’s foremost media establishments, is a testament to the tangible transformation taking place across Imo State under his watch.”
“The infrastructural revolution championed by Governor Uzodimma has catalyzed significant economic growth within the state. Improved road networks have enhanced connectivity, reduced travel time, and facilitated commerce, while revamped public institutions have fostered efficiency and restored public confidence in governance.
“As a result, Imo is witnessing increased investor interest and an upsurge in entrepreneurial activities, reinforcing the success of the administration’s economic and development agenda.”
