The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, said it has deployed 2,000 of its personnel to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration across the state.
The Command said undercover operatives were also deployed and placed in very sensitive locations to provide timely and actionable intelligence that would help contain the activities of miscreants in the state during the Easter celebration.
CC Jamilu A. Indabawa, the Corps Commandant for Katsina, disclosed the โEaster Operational Orderโ to newsmen at the Commandโs Headquarters in Katsina.
Indabawa tasked the deployed unit heads with the need to ensure watertight security in the state through effective coordination and deployment of the assigned personnel.
He also tasked the deployed personnel to be very vigilant, diligent, and professional, harping on the need for synergy with other security agencies in ensuring safety and security in the state.
While extending felicitation to Christian faithful in the state, Indabawa enjoined the general public to report any suspicious movement of persons or items to the nearest NSCDC office.
