After a series of deliberations, an independent medical doctor conducted an examination of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Thursday.
According to Kanuโs lead counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, the doctor selected to perform the examination was deemed competent and was personally chosen by Kanu himself.
Following a routine meeting with Kanu at the Department of State Services (DSS) facility, Ejimakor shared this information after leading the legal team at the facility of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Ejimakor, taking to his X platform, wrote: โThe jinx is finally broken. Today, a very competent doctor, personally chosen by Onyendu #MNK, met & examined him.
โIt wasnโt easy, counting from last year when this shouldโve happened. The indomitable #MnkLegalTeam also met with MNK today. Itโs tough but we must not relent.โ
Ejimakor had accused DSS operatives of refusing to allow Kanu access to an independent medical practitioner in the past after the IPOB leader disclosed that he has congestive heart failure
