The Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Gabriel Dewan, on Friday morning, swore in nine members of the embattled All Progressives Congress (APC) into the House.
Blueprint correspondent reports that the house press corps were informed that the inauguration will hold at 10am but it was later done much earlier than 9am.
Speaker Dewan, said the nine members were sworn-in based on the cases, as ordered by the Court of Appeal.
However, reliable source within the APC, revealed that the, “nine (9), sworn-in members, were made to sign an undated resignation letters, before swearing them.
“But the seven (7), others had refused to sign the resignation, and soon they will issue a statement.”
Meanwhile, Hon. Isa Ajiji, of the APC has emerged as the deputy speaker of the House, whereas; Hon Gabriel Dewan of the YPP continues to serve as the Speaker, leading 16 members of the APC.
The house since November, 2023 carried on with only eight members, and without deputy speaker, untill on Friday, April 5, 2024.
