90 Day Fiance season 5 couple Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez seemed doomed from the start, and it’s time to check in with the stars of one of the best reality TV shows years after their story aired. The pair got engaged only two months after they met in the Dominican Republic. The Georgia native was there for a vacation and met the younger man while he was working as a bartender. Already on shaky ground, more problems arose for the couple once they were engaged. Adding to the skepticism, the pair essentially got legally married in secret, without a ceremony. Luis clashed with Molly’s family and friends and made a bad impression on her two daughters. He admitted to having no interest in being a stepdad. The tension got worse after Luis asked the eldest daughter, Olivia, some very inappropriate questions. Molly was extremely uncomfortable by the question, and many viewers found it creepy. A charge for simple misdemeanor battery followed. Mother and daughter blamed the other for instigating the fight, but an anonymous witness backed up Molly’s side of the story.
Despite Molly’s familial drama, the 90 Day Fiancé fan favorite is thriving in other ways. Her lingerie line has been a great success, with her wealth estimated to be in the millions. The single mother chronicles her weight loss journey on social media, with fans cheering her on. She previously showcased her slimmed-down figure in a glamorous shoot for PLUS Model Magazine. Appearing on the cover, the tv personality stunned in one of her and Cynthia Decker’s own lingerie designs.
90 Day Fiancé fans can’t get enough of the two friends and business partners, who’ve appeared on Pillow Talk. Additionally, she and her daughter, Olivia, have a lingerie brand together, likely meaning the pair have buried the hatchet. Though she looks better than ever, Molly appears to be single. Hopefully, when she does find a new man, he won’t just be using her like Luis. For now, it’s good that she’s focusing on her entrepreneurial pursuits and mending her relationship with her daughter.
