Dare Arigbede inspires youth at Beyond Limits

A real estate developer, speaker and writer, David Arigbede, recently hosted a youth empowerment programme tagged โ€˜Beyond Limitsโ€™.

Speaking at the event which held at the Lekki Conservation Centre during the week, Arigbede emphasised the importance of empowering the youth with the right knowledge to become catalysts for positive change in society.

He said, โ€œThe youth need to be empowered with the right knowledge that can make them become better persons, and contribute greatly to society. There are young Nigerians excelling in all sectors, and our belief is that change can begin with them. They can impact and inspire others from where they are. At the end of the day, itโ€™s not only about them. We are creating a paradigm shift that moves them from focusing on themselves to adding value to others.โ€

Speaking further, he urged the attendees to banish the idea that they needed to be old before they could take up leadership positions.

He added, โ€œYoung Nigerians need to banish the idea that they need to reach certain ages to be leaders. How many governors do we have in Nigeria who are less than 40 years old? Do we have that? Age is not a limitโ€.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of N100,000 cash gifts to some final year university students to support them with their projects and tuition.

According to Arigbede, the cash gift is to alleviate financial burdens and empower students to achieve their academic goals. Beneficiaries of the cash gifts include Seide Agosu, Odofin Oreoluwa, Alabi Debora, Suleimon Samad, Joseph Emmanuella, among others.

A music promoter, Kogbagidi, and a budding artiste, Lucid, were some of the guests at the event.
