Genshin Impact: Arlecchino Ascension Materials (& Talents)

Farming the proper materials for Arlecchino’s Ascension in Genshin Impact and upgrading her Talents is a vital step to enhance her and then start thinking about the best builds for the character. Arlecchino is a highly anticipated playable character added with Version 4.6 after being presented as an NPC during the Fontaine storyline. She is the only new character in Genshin Impact 4.6, though she has been awaited before she was even introduced as an NPC – Arlecchino has been leaked abundantly even before the arrival of the region of Fontaine back in Version 4.0.

Arlecchino is a character from Fontaine. She is the head of the House of the Hearth, an orphanage that also operates as a boarding school for the Fatui, seeing she is a Fatui Harbinger herself. Also known as The Knave, Arlecchino is Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet’s parent. She is confirmed to be a 5-star Pyro character who works as a DPS in team comps. Her main gameplay mechanic is using Bond of Life to enhance her powers, something that had been mentioned in several Arlecchino leaks in Genshin Impact. Before using her, however, you should Ascend her to level 90.

Most of the necessary materials for Arlecchino’s Ascension had already been available in the game long before the announcement of the Fatui Harbinger as a playable character. If you consistently farmed materials and other resources from the region of Fontaine, odds are that you already have a stock of at least some of the materials. As a Pyro character, one type of material Arlecchino uses is the Agnidus Agate stones. These items are specifically used by Pyro characters and can be farmed by defeating Pyro bosses in Genshin Impact, like Pyro Hypostasis, Pyro Regisvine, and even La Signora.

The table below lists all the materials needed to take Arlecchino to level 90, divided by Ascension level, the total needed to farm, and the rewards you can reap at certain level thresholds:

The next set of materials you will need to farm for materials is a Local Specialty from Fontaine called Rainbow Rose. This is a pink-colored flower that can be found all around the Nation of Hydro. In total, you need 168 Rainbow Roses. You should try to farm as much as you can with each run because there are only 81 nodes available in the game before the release of Version 4.6, and Local Specialties in Genshin Impact take 48 hours in real-life to respawn. If you have none, it can take you around a week to farm.

The other material needed for Arlecchino’s Ascension is part of an item family dropped from Fatui Skirmishers. Recruit’s Insignia, Sergeant’s Insignia, and Lieutenant’s Insignia drop from various Fatui opponents, which can be found all across Teyvat, regardless of the region. If you are a veteran player, you should have enough – if not, you can find high concentrations of Fatui enemies around the outskirts of Dragonspire, the center region of Liyue, and the northwesternmost portion of Seirai Island in Inazuma. They are truly scattered around, so you can use the official Genshin Impact interactive map to optimize your farming efforts.

The final material needed is called Fragment of a Golden Melody, according to Honey Hunter World. This is a world boss material that drops from the Legatus Golem, added with Version 4.6. This is one of the few materials that could not be pre-farmed prior to Arlecchino’s release. Legatus Golem can be found in Fontaine.

In addition to the materials themselves, you will spend 420,000 Mora to unlock all of Arlecchino’s Ascension levels, plus an extra 1,673,400 Mora if you use Character EXP Materials to level her up in Genshin Impact. Mora can always be farmed in Ley Line Outcrop: Blossom of Wealth buds.

While Ascension is the most important first step, leveling up Arlecchino’s Talents is also necessary if you want to optimize her skills’ performances. To get all her abilities to level 10, you will need a large sum of materials, as well as a lot of Mora. To start off, you will need the aforementioned Fatui drops. A lot more Insignias are needed for her Talents than for her Ascension.

The table below lists all the items and Mora you need to max out every one of Arlecchino’s Talents in Genshin Impact (considering she is a Constellation level 0):

According to Honey Hunter World, the next material that will be required at higher Talent levels is a drop from the Knave weekly boss encounter, added with Version 4.6. Not too many are needed, but you will need to challenge the same boss over the course of weeks to gather the 18 necessary copies. To top off the Talents and get them to level 10, you will also need a Crown of Insight for each ability, items that can be obtained from limited-time events, and reputation systems in Genshin Impact.

The entire process to level up Arlecchino’s Talents will cost a hefty 4,957,500 Mora, which is quite expensive and may send you farming for more at Blossom of Wealth activities. Overall, the process to level up the 5-star Pyro character and her abilities is quite straightforward, even if an expensive one. Luckily, most of her materials could be pre-farmed, meaning you may have already had a stock or even had time to gather them before Arlecchino was finally released in Genshin Impact.
