The Masked Singer season 11 panelists kicked off Girl Group Night with an extraordinary performance of the Spice Girls’ hit song, “Wannabe.”The Masked Singer panelists–Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora–have taken the stage before. During The Masked Singer season 11, Rita made her debut by opening the premiere with “Who Are You” by the Who, which is the theme song to the show. On Billy Joel Night, Robin sang “My Life.” On TV Theme Night, the whole panel performed the theme song to Gilligan’s Island.
In a Masked Singer video shared to YouTube, the panelists sing an exciting rendition of the Spice Girls’ smash hit, “Wannabe” on Girl Group Night.
Host Nick Cannon introduces the performance by saying, “It’s your all-time favorite girl group. It’s the panel of detectives!” Fun-loving Jenny and Ken then open the song with the iconic words, “I’ll tell you want I want what I really, really want.” Rita and Robin then beautifully sing the first verse, while Jenny and Ken join them in the chorus. It’s a joyous celebration on stage as the panelists sing and dance.
During The Masked Singer season 11 Girl Group Night, the Group B finalists will return to the stage. Gumball, Miss Cleocatra, and Beets will sing classic songs from legendary girl groups, along with the new Wild Card contestant, Seal. The two highest vote-getters will move directly to the Group B finals, which will be Soundtrack of My Life Night, while the bottom two will battle it out in the Smackdown. The winner of the Smackdown will also head to the Group B finals.
The Masked Singer season 11 Group B debuted on The Wizard of Oz Night. During that magical night, Gumball, Miss Cleocatra, and Beets advanced to the next round, while Afghan Hound was unmasked. Afghan Hound turned out to be reality TV star Savannah Chrisley. It’ll be exciting to see what Seal’s voice sounds like because Gumball, Miss Cleocatra, and Beets are all phenomenal singers.
The Masked Singer Group B finals, which will be Soundtrack of My Life Night, will follow Girl Group Night. Only one Group B finalist will make it to the quarterfinals because the panelists already rang the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell to save Group C’s Poodle Moth, and it can only be used once in a season. After the Group B finalist is determined, he or she will join Poodle Moth, Clock, and Goldfish in the quarterfinals. Hopefully, viewers will not only be treated to more songs from these extraordinary contestants, but also the incredibly talented panelists.
