This Selling The OC Star Quits The Oppenheim Group & Jason Oppenheim Reacts

Selling The OC season 3’s premiere is just around the corner, but one Oppenheim Group agent isn’t sticking around the brokerage after the dramatic events of the upcoming season. Throughout Selling The OC’s run, the agency has welcomed only a few new faces into the fold, but the team has remained predominantly the same since the very beginning. A tight-knit group, hearing about any departure from the OC Oppenheim Group is shocking, but learning about what’s been happening behind the scenes at the brokerage may tip off viewers to just why the staff has been leaving at an alarming rate.

Selling The OC star Alexandra Jarvis announced her departure from the OC Oppenheim Group on Thursday, April 25. While Alexandra, who goes by Jarvis on the series, seems to be leaving the brokerage on amicably, her exit will be a surprise to viewers who have watched her on Selling The OC since its start. According to Jason Oppenheim, co-owner of the Oppenheim Group, “she decided to do what’s best for her, and I have a lot of respect for that.” Jason shared with People they’re “still on good terms,” noting he didn’t want “to speak for [her]” about her departure.

While Alexandra may be one of the most shocking departures from Selling The OC in the last year, she hasn’t been the only agent to leave the Oppenheim Group behind for their next chapter. After the rumors of his scandalous relationship with Alex Hall caused viewers to look into his marriage with Brittany Snow, Tyler Stanaland left the brokerage behind, moving into a position at another real estate firm. Tyler, whose family has been in the real estate business for generations, may have had a better opportunity elsewhere. Still, the timing of his departure from the O Group was suspicious.

After Tyler’s departure, the Oppenheim Group suffered from another loss on the team when Selling The OC star Sean Palmieri left the brokerage, too. Sharing that he didn’t feel he fit in with the culture of the O Group, Sean was a bit shady about his departure from the brokerage when he spoke to the press about his time there. He moved into a different position, signing as a partner at another firm, but stayed open about the fact that the Oppenheim Group didn’t fit his lifestyle or his goals. Sean has appeared on Selling The OC throughout its run.

Though there are still plenty of familiar faces working at the OC Oppenheim Group, the losses they’ve suffered over the last year have been big blows to Jason and Brett Oppenheim’s team. Tyler, Sean, and now Alexandra were all selling high-value properties, and it’s obvious that something has shifted at the Oppenheim Group if they’re losing employees at such an alarming rate. Many hope they’ll find clarity on why the agents chose to leave the Oppenheim Group on Selling The OC season 3, which premieres in just a few days on Netflix.
