Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, has put aside the initial beef thrown up by the election rhetorics and differences as he paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno.
The meeting took place on Friday at the Executive Council Chambers of the Governorโs Office in Uyo, the state capital.
Akpabio was joined by several Principal Officers of the Senate and members of the National Assembly during the visit.
During the meeting, Akpabio emphasized the importance of Governor Enoโs efforts in fostering unity across party lines for the benefit of all citizens of the state.
Recall that Akpabio had backed the All Progressives Congress, APC, during the 2023 election after he fell out with his successor, Udom Emmanuel who heavily backed Eno to succeed him as Governor in Akwa Ibom.
Visiting Eno is significant as it marks a moment of putting their differences aside.
