Sigewinne may end up becoming one of Genshin Impact’s weirdest healers yet if new Version 4.7 leaks are to be taken into consideration. The head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide has long been an NPC in the Fontaine storyline but is now being added to the game as a playable character following several updates since her original debut. Alongside Clorinde and Sethos, Sigewinne is one of the three new and confirmed characters in Genshin Impact 4.7. In spite of this, it will still take a while for players to even catch a glimpse of her official gameplay.
At the moment, HoYoverse’s action RPG is in the early stages of Version 4.6, with players exploring the new area to the south of Fontaine and the massive underwater portion that it brings forth, as well as new events and Character Quests. According to information provided by the leaker known as Mero, which was then shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit, Sigewinne will be able to create a throwable bubble with her Elemental Skill. Upon impact on enemies, this rumored bubble will deal Hydro DMG and restore HP for every party member with the exception of Sigewinne in Genshin Impact. When the bubble stops bouncing, she will then regenerate HP based on her Max HP.
According to the leak, Sigewinne’s bubble also has another final effect. When she uses her Elemental Skill, Sigewinne also creates Sourcewater Droplets. When she absorbs these pick-ups, Sigewinne gains Bond of Life equal to a portion of her Max HP. This Bond of Life mechanic will see her restoring Energy when she clears a portion of it, making it a way of charging her Elemental Burst. From an initial point of view, this may seem a little contradictory. Bond of Life is a punitive mechanic that often results in more power of some kind in Genshin Impact.
Sigewinne, for instance, is rumored to restore Energy, while Arlecchino gains Pyro Infusion and a significant damage increase when she has Bond of Life. This mechanic is punitive because it naturally impedes characters from restoring HP. To heal, players first have to clear the Bond of Life debuff by healing through it. If the Bond of Life is equal to 5% of a character’s HP, for example, players first have to heal the equivalent of that to clear it and only then will they be able to restore actual HP.
What is weird about Sigewinne gaining Bond of Life is that she is rumored to be a healer, so having the team’s damage mitigator unable to heal herself seems like a very risky move, especially when compared to other characters that use Bond of Life who are usually recommended to be paired with a shielder. While there is some sentiment of awkwardness in having her be unable to heal herself because of that Bond of Life debuff, there is a hidden detail in Sigewinne’s leaked gameplay kit in Genshin Impact that may tip the odds in her favor.
The leak provided by Mero shows one of Sigewinne’s rumored passive Talents, which is a complete game-changer when it comes to how she heals. According to the information, Sigewinne has an ability called Detailed Diagnosis, Thorough Treatment. This skill sees that she gains a Healing Bonus based on the total current value of Bonds of Life on all party members and, for every 1,000 HP worth of Bond of Life, Sigewinne gains a 3% Healing Bonus for up to 30%. If this is true, then Sigewinne’s rumored Bond of Life in Genshin Impact may actually pay off.
A 30% Healing Bonus is nothing to ignore and this rumored skill considers Bond of Life across all characters in her party. This means that, when paired with other characters who gain Bond of Life, like Arlecchino, Sigewinne may be able to not only quickly clean Bond of Life from allies and herself, thus triggering her Energy regeneration, but also heal allies and herself. She may have some trouble healing when not used in a Bond of Life-focused team comp, but when she has allies with such a mechanic, she can easily activate the bonus in Genshin Impact.
A fun fact is that Clorinde is also rumored to have a Bond of Life mechanic and she is expected to have that debuff at or above 100% of her Max HP most of the time, as her damage can increase significantly. If the leaks about both these characters are true, they may form a very powerful duo. Clorinde, who was expected to rely on a shielder, may not have to if Sigewinne’s abilities as a healer truly escalate because of Bond of Life. In fact, Sigewinne may become the strongest healer in Genshin Impact.
Of course, for now, leaks and rumors should be considered with caution, as information may be wrong or subject to change, and how the skills present themselves now may not translate into actual gameplay value once the character is released – this is especially true when it comes to stat changes, which can have drastic effects. Nevertheless, the leaks about Sigewinne so far are extremely positive – she may change how team comps in Genshin Impact work based on the presence of her Bond of Life, and may actually be a fantastic support for Neuvillette, who also consumes Sourcewater Droplets.
