All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party flags
The newly inaugurated committee of the All Progressives Congress’s Progressive People’s Resolution (APC-PPR) has vowed to consolidate its stronghold by ensuring that it unseat the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The Coordinator of the group in Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency, John Ayang, who stated this during a strategic meeting of the group held on Saturday in Ikot Abasi LGA, said the PDP’s gross underperformance in the area is providing a leeway for APC to take over in 2027.
Ayang specifically lauded the pivotal role of President Tinubu and the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and that of the National Leader of the group and Stalwart of the APC in Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency, Engr. Ubong Idemudo, in piloting the affairs of the party.
He added that the unwavering commitment of Idemudo to the ideals of the APC portrays him as a linchpin in advancing the party’s agenda at both national, state, and local levels.
He said, “Engr. Idemudo’s tireless efforts and significant contributions to the APC-PPR and the broader APC family are worthy of note His dedication and strategic acumen were instrumental in advancing the group’s objectives, aligning perfectly with the progressive agenda championed by leaders like Tinubu, Akpabio, and Victor Antai.
“This group is committed to providing the necessary population to challenge and triumph against the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State during the 2027 general elections.
“The PDP’s gross underperformance in Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency is a development that is laying credence to the soon-to-come era of positive change”, he said.
Ayang therefore announced ambitious plans to inaugurate APC-PPR executive committees at the Local Government Area, Wards, and Unit levels, demonstrating the party’s resolve to strengthen its grassroots presence and mobilize support for future electoral victories.
Speaking during the event the national Convener of the group, Engr. Ubong Idemudo, expressed appreciation to the group and to do more to advance the cause and objectives of the group.
