May 8 has some brand new Connections for fans to solve and we barely stumbled our way into victory today. Hopefully, your game went smoother than ours but if it didn’t we can help you score a win and keep your win-streak alive. Be warned, full spoilers are ahead, but if you just need a little push in the right direction we’ve got some hints available. That way you can still claim a personal victory.
One of the best aspects of the game of Connections is that you really don’t need to solve all four of the word groupings. Every time you score a new category you’ve essentially lowered the options, thus making the game easier. Once you’ve nailed three of the four, the leftover words guarantee your win. If you find yourself having trouble, don’t scroll too far and steal all the answers. Just go down enough to cheat on a single category. The fewer words available should help you solve the rest yourself.
Before we go full spoilers on today’s Connections answers, we wanted to provide a few hints in the form of the daily categories.
Yellow was our second score of the day today and didn’t cause too many issues overall. We did waste an attempt or two trying to make some sort of Ice Cream topic with CHERRY, CREAM, and SPRINKLE. But after the first few errors, we stepped away from that idea. RUBY and ROSE were the obvious starters for this category. CHERRY and BRICK quickly fell into place and kept us alive in the game.
We solved the green category first today and it went fast after we let go of the ice cream thing. DROP and SPLASH started us off and the others quickly followed. The actual category title was not something we guessed. A ‘Little Bit Of A Beverage’ was not at all in our minds. We thought this would be more of a water-spilling idea, not something as specific as beverages.
It’s true, we are the BEST PICK, the CREAM of the crop, and we will always rise to the TOP! There is no one better at solving Connections than The Macho Man! OOOOH YEAH, BROTHER!
The leftover words for the day made a quick and easy win for the purple category. Baths are the best, we’ve never personally had a SPONGE bath, but oftentimes you can find us whistling a little tune in our neighbor’s backyard BIRD bath. The police usually show up about fifteen minutes later, but it’s still a good time before they pop up.
